1. Overview
Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the fare, room, package or service rules displayed at the time of booking and on the terms of the airline, hotel or travel supplier fulfilling that booking.
2. Flight cancellations
Airline cancellation charges, fare restrictions and applicable TripSutra service charges may be deducted from an eligible flight refund. Some promotional or special fares may be partially refundable or non-refundable.
3. Hotel cancellations
Hotel refunds follow the cancellation window shown for the selected room plan. Cancellations made after the free-cancellation deadline may attract one-night, partial or full-stay charges depending on the property policy.
4. Holiday packages
Package cancellation charges can vary by departure date and by already-confirmed components such as flights, hotels, transfers, visas and activities. Any non-refundable supplier component will be deducted before the final refundable amount is calculated.
5. Convenience and service fees
Convenience, payment-processing or service fees may be non-refundable where they relate to services already provided. Any applicable deduction should be shown in the cancellation summary before confirmation.
6. Refund processing timeline
Once a supplier confirms an eligible refund, TripSutra initiates the refund to the original payment method. Bank and card processing times may vary; most reversals appear within 5–12 business days after initiation.
7. No-show and unused bookings
No-show bookings are generally governed by the supplier's no-show rule and may be non-refundable. Unused taxes or statutory components, where refundable, are processed only after confirmation from the supplier.
